Electra and Mercedes-Benz expand premium fast-charging access across Europe

Brussels, November 3 2026 – Mercedes-Benz customers will gain improved access to more than 800 premium fast-charging locations across Europe through a new premium partnership between Electra and MB.CHARGE Public1, combining preferential pricing, charge-point reservation and seamless in-car access.

  • Electra and Mercedes-Benz are joining forces to make fast charging more convenient for MB.CHARGE Public customers across Europe.
  • Through the new premium partnership, customers will gain improved access to Electra’s network of more than 800 stations and 5,000 charge points in ten countries.
  • Depending on their MB.CHARGE Public tariff, customers will benefit from preferential rates, seamless access through the Mercedes-Benz charging ecosystem and the option to reserve compatible charge points before arrival.
  • From 1 November 2026, the 47 Mercedes-Benz High Power Charging Hubs in Europe will become part of the Electra network.

More choice and convenience for MB.CHARGE Public customers

The partnership extends the premium charging experience currently available at Mercedes-Benz Charging Hubs to Electra stations across Europe. By connecting key steps of the charging journey, it makes public charging more seamless and convenient for customers. Through MB.CHARGE Public, customers benefit from greater choice and planning certainty, particularly in Germany, Austria, France, Belgium, Italy and Switzerland.

Customer benefits at a glance

  • Preferential rates: tariff-specific conditions at Electra stations across Europe
  • Seamless access: stations can be located and accessed directly through the Mercedes-Benz charging ecosystem in the vehicle or via the Mercedes-Benz App
  • Greater planning convenience: compatible charge points can be reserved directly from the vehicle before arrival, helping ensure that a charger is available when customers reach the station
  • Reliable high-power charging: Electra reported network availability of more than 98.5% and offers charging power of up to 600 kW at selected locations

A stronger joint network in Europe

The 47 Mercedes-Benz Charging Hubs in Europe - comprising 374 charge points, including 31 hubs in Germany and six in Austria - will join the Electra network while continuing to offer customers the familiar on-site charging experience. In Germany, the integration will considerably increase Electra’s network from 50 to 81 stations.

Supporting further network growth

The partnership combines Electra’s expanding fast-charging network with the integrated digital charging experience offered by MB.CHARGE Public. Electra plans to invest €200 million in Germany alone next year. Together, the two companies aim to broaden access to convenient and reliable fast charging for electric-vehicle drivers across Europe.

Aurélien de Meaux, CEO of Electra: "Mercedes-Benz built charging hubs to a standard few networks match. We are proud they chose Electra to carry that standard forward, and to open our entire network to their drivers with preferential rates, reservation and access straight from the car. This partnership is a milestone for Electra in Germany and across Europe."
Nico Dettmer, Global Head of Mercedes-Benz Charging Solutions: “Electric mobility is about more than the car. At Mercedes-Benz, our ambition is to deliver a seamless and exceptional customer experience regardless of the powertrain. Charging is an essential part of that promise for our EV customers. Together with Electra, we are making fast charging across Europe even more accessible and convenient, adding more than 800 locations to our premium partnership network and bringing a seamless charging experience to our customers.”

1 In order to use the MB.CHARGE Public digital extra, a separate customer charging contract with a selected third-party provider is required.
